About HAODS
Who are HAODS?
Horsham Amateur Operatic & Dramatic Society, better known as HAODS, has been one of West Sussex most popular theatrical groups for over 70 years. We are well established in the local community and are lucky to have a large number of regular audience members who turn out to see our productions that have been referred to as ‘indistinguishable from the West End’ year after year
If you would like to find out more about our history, please check out A History Of HAODS.
Where are you based?
Our rehearsal facilities, known as ‘HAODS House’, are situated in Hurst road, Horsham and comprise:
- A Large rehearsal studio;
- Costume Rooms;
- A large Set and Props workshop;
- A cozy and welcoming Green Room (with drinks and snacks available!)
How often do you perform?
We stage two large musical productions a year, one in Spring and one in Autumn, at the Capitol theatre in Horsham, as well as regular plays and musical reviews. Rehearsals for the larger shows are usually held at HAODS House on a Tuesday and Thursday evening and Sunday during the day (Sundays are usually only closer to a show).
