About HAODS

Horsham Amateur Operatic & Dramatic Society, better known as HAODS, has been one of West Sussex most popular theatrical groups for over 60 years. We are well established in the local community and are lucky to have a large number of regular audience members who turn out to see our productions that have been referred to as ‘indistinguishable from the West End’ year after year.

Our rehearsal facilities, known as 'HAODS House', are situated in Broadbridge Heath Leisure Centre and comprise two large rehearsal rooms, a fully stocked wardrobe department, props store, newly decorated Green Room and double height storage space.

We stage two large musical productions a year, one in Spring and one in Autumn, at the Capitol theatre in Horsham, as well as regular plays and musical reviews. Rehearsals for the larger shows are usually held at HAODS House on a Tuesday and Thursday evening and Sunday during the day (Thursday and Sundays are usually principals only until closer to a show).

HAODS also host regular social events including open mic nights, quizzes, themed parties and fundraisers. We always welcome new members and would love for you to join us, whether on stage or helping out backstage with sets, sound, lighting, wardrobe or props.

If you would like to join, please contact our new members secretary for further details.
