Main Committee

Purpose of Main Committee.


HAODS Management Committee consists of Elected Officers and Elected Members. The Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer are elected annually. Six other Members are elected for two years each on a rotational basis with three retiring each year. The Main Committee is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Society, its finances, the fabric of HAODS house and generally ensuring that the stated aims and purpose of the Society are upheld. The Main Committee is not responsible for the artistic content of the performances that are presented to the public. It is however the duty of the Committee to review the shows recommended by the Show Review sub committee and produce a shortlist for voting on by the Society. The Main Committee also reviews Directors and Musical Directors who offer their services to the Society prior to recommending them to the body of the Membership. Due to the large budgets required for most HAODS productions the Main Committee also performs the role of Producer and receives regular feedback on the artistic direction of the show from the Business Manager.


Whilst individual Officers perform different functions the individuals making up the Main Committee are jointly responsible for decisions made on behalf of the Society who elected them.


The main committee meets monthly.
